About the Beth Joseph Synagogue
An architectural landmark built in 1905, Beth Joseph Synagogue preserves the heritage of Tupper Lake’s Jewish community, offering religious services and hosting community gatherings that foster understanding and acceptance. The Synagogue’s origins trace back to the late 1800s when Jewish immigrants from Russia, Lithuania, and other parts of Europe arrived in America. In 2025, Beth Joseph Synagogue—the oldest synagogue in the Adirondacks—will celebrate its 120th anniversary. Stay tuned for special events and celebrations marking this milestone!
