UU religious education and participation in worship, social justice work, and multigenerational gatherings reinforce what parents teach children at home – to become kind, respectful, fair-minded, caring, and strong enough to side with love and work for justice. UU religious education seeks an outcome of respectful, responsible, life-loving children and youth who know that they are valued for who they are and are ready to show others the same deep acceptance.
UU religious education programs combine story, song, art, movement, discussion, and play to engage children with many learning styles, abilities, and activity levels. While program content varies; many congregations rely on Tapestry of Faith curricula, offered by the UUA.
